Update

The latest report to CPR right holders dated as of March 31, 2012 states that despite significant efforts by Ampex licensing personnel to generate New Patent Revenue, such efforts have been unsuccessful, and even revenues from existing licenses have greatly decreased, Also, efforts to find a purchaser or partner to monetize the patent portfolio have failed. This has resulted, in large part, from the expiration of significant patents that have been responsible for generating Patent Revenue in the past. As a result, we have concluded that there is no longer any possibility to generate New Patent Revenue that could result in CPR Distributions being paid to Right Holders.

Accordingly, this will be that last statement that will be provided to Right Holders under the Contingent Payment Rights Agreement. A copy of the report can be accessed here.

AS 9100 Rev. C / ISO 9001:2008 certification

The management system of Ampex Data Systems Corporation has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of AS 9100 Rev. C / ISO 9001:2008. SGS Systems and Services Certification performed this assessment in accordance with the requirements of AS 9104 Rev. A and is accredited under the Aerospace Registrar Management Program.

The scope of registration is as follows:

Design, manufacture and repair of solid state and hard disk based data acquisition, storage, and transfer equipment and associated software.
