REDWOOD CITY, Calif., October 5th, 2011 - Ampex Data System Corporation today announced certification of their quality management system as compliant to SAE AS 9100 Revision C. Although Ampex was already qualified to the older Revision B of the AS 9100 standard, and also to the wider known ISO 9001 system, this new Rev. C certification recognizes Ampex's continuing commitment to quality.

The AS 9100 standard supplements ISO 9001:2008 with requirements tailored to the aerospace industry. Beginning with Revision C, it also addresses the needs of the defense sector. "Compared with our existing Rev. B system, the Rev. C version adds significant new requirements, such as those for risk and project management" said Mike Boots, Quality Manager.
