The Ampex RMDs720 is an integrated Windows-based PC system tailored for extracting and (optionally) demultiplexing data from mini Removable Memory Modules used by the Ampex miniR700 and DSRs500 recorders. With an internal RAID array, and removable media options including tape drives, disk packs, and an optical disk writer, the system is equipped to be both a standalone system and a laboratory ingest unit.
